Yu-Gi-Oh Classic: Season 2

Ecstatic to see this!
I have always considered the second season of the original Yu-Gi-Oh to be the best out of the whole series.
The first season will always have a special place in my heart but the rules for the duels made no sense whatsoever, Season three holds second place but I didn't really like the virtual world arc, Seasons four and five just weren't as good in my opinion, Season two on the other hand has a decent number of the best duels in the whole series and it was also when they started following the same rules followed in the real life game.
I've been wanting to get my hands on this season for years but the prices have always been so high that I couldn't afford them, now with a new release and a new price I can finally enjoy them once again!
The Best of Duels for the entire series
After the Duelist Kingdom match - Yugi and the others are hoping to get back to normal life, and also find out more about the Puzzle and spirit housed within. What starts out as a "date" with Taya is the beginning of new adventures and new revelations as Ishizu appears out them and Kiba advising they have a role in stopping a new evil from capturing three all powerful cards and the Puzzle and power within. But when Bandit Keith challenges Yugi to a duel, the new evil of Marik is revealed. Now Yugi, Joey, and Kiba must compete in Duelist City (run by Kiba Corp) to stop Marik and ensure the powers that he wants does not fall into his hands.

I agree with the other reviewer, this season is the best of the series. It has some of the best duels and some of the best story lines, from Serenity seeing, to the epic battles between Joey and Yugi and Joey and Odeon. Witness new cards, like trap destroyer Jinzo, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and my favoite Dark Magician Girl and relive...
excited!
I cant wait... It's been so long since i got excited for a series like this... Thank you for re-releasing this great classic

Digimon Adventure: Volume 4 DVD 3pk.

Volume 4 Represents The First 21 Episodes Of Digimon: Digital Monsters Season Two
Now I'm officially getting confused! While I love that the Digimon series is finally getting the release that it deserves, it is simultaneously being doled out in Full Seasons and in smaller Volume sets. Keeping track of what is what is becoming increasingly difficult!

Let's break it down for Digital Monsters releases so far. Here is what is currently available:

Complete Season One: All 54 Episodes
Complete Season Two: All 50 Episodes
Complete Season Three: All 51 Episodes
Complete Season Four: All 50 Episodes (releases 9/10/13)

Volume One: First 21 Episodes of Season One
Volume Two: Second 18 Episodes of Season One
Volume Three: Last 15 Episodes of Season One
Volume Four: THIS RELEASE is the first 21 episodes of Season Two.

With the release of the Digimon series in the late nineties, the show was (more often than not) compared to the worldwide phenomenon of Pokemon. I think that this both hurt the show and...

Digimon Frontier: The Complete Fourth Season

I never thought I'd see this day
This was my all-time favorite Digimon season ever!! The Spirit evolutions are the greatest, the comedy duo Digimon were hilarious, and after 3 amazing seasons of Digi-Destined-paired-with-Digimon, it's nice that the Digi-Destined can now protect themselves by BECOMING Digimon! This season fulfilled a great desire of mine as a child--to become powerful, like in Power Rangers! Taking that step from trainer-with-partner to becoming the actual heroes greatly separates this from similar fare of Pokemon, Medabots, and Zatch Bell (all classics btw). Can't wait! Hopefully I'll have enough money by then!
This is a "molto bene" season of Digimon if I ever saw it!
My message board has paid off; the entire 4th season of Digimon is finally coming to DVD, just 2 weeks after mine & my niece's birthday, and just 1 day before Patriot Day. Like I said with season 3, season 4 also got in some hot water for "censored nudity" for Spirit Evolving. All 50 American-print episodes of this landmark season are here in an 8-disc set! It's a shame Fox Kids never let us know about a 4th season in 2002 nor about where it'd be seen, causing its ratings to suffer (The Internet wasn't so plentiful or quick in those days). It was originally seen on UPN (before it became the CW with other Disneytoon shows of the time) from September of 2002 to the end of August 2003, then on ABC Family & Toon Disney until the latter channel only showed Data Squad in 2007 to 2009. A lot of people compared Data Squad to Power Rangers S.P.D. as with Digimon's 4th season to the Power Rangers in general. You won't find Zords of any kind here, nor will you find the TV movie "Island of Lost...
Frontier Time!
I loved this season of Digimon with its way of having the kids transform into digimon, now that was a nice spin on the series. I can't wait for season four to be released and add it to my anime collection.

Greetings from Tim Buckley

Great Soundtrack And Good Performances, But This Musical Biography Left Me Rather Unenlightened About Its Subject
I wanted very much to be able to give Daniel Algrant's "Greetings From Tim Buckley" my highest recommendation. The genius of Tim Buckley and Jeff Buckley are evident on the film's incredible soundtrack which features songs which are a combination of original recordings and tracks expertly recreated. This is a respectful film that quietly examines the complexities of the estranged relationship between father and son. Unfortunately, though, the film's screenplay doesn't offer much enlightenment or insight. If you are not knowledgeable about the Buckleys, you will leave the film with little more information than you started. If you are a fan, the experience feels like a missed opportunity. Wearing its indie roots proudly, the movie is a meandering (and relatively plot-less) sojourn that tracks the paths of both Buckleys on alternate timelines without ever really getting very close to either. The film is well meaning, to be sure, but I'm not sure it ever accomplishes its primary goal. As...
A new kind of biopic
I enjoyed this movie. As a writer, I admired the attempt to blend fact and fiction. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't care how much of it was true, or the fact that Penn Badgley did not look exactly like Jeff. The movie tells a story that stands on its own, and I think Badgely "became" Jeff, which is more important. The role was all about spirit. The power of the movie is that the characters interact well together, and the story that the writers and director choose to tell is told well. Like other Jeff Buckley fans, I look forward to seeing "Mystery White Boy." But if you are a fan and keep an open mind, this one is very much worth seeing.
Greetings
I loved this movie, but I know a lot about Jeff and Tim Buckley. I don't think this movie would necessarily appeal to people who don't know more of their back story. Penn Badgley's performance was excellent, however. I enjoyed hearing a lot of Tim Buckley's music, which I am not as familiar with as with Jeff's music. Both had amazing voices and singing styles. I was hoping this movie would serve as an introduction to the Buckley's music, which I only recently discovered. But I don't know if this movie will reach a wide audience. If you are reading this, please check out Tim and Jeff Buckley's music. There are tons of them on You Tube. Then go get this movie!

Digimon: The Official Seasons 1-4 Collection

The entire 1st to 4th seasons, on 32 DVDs, 1 incredible deluxe collection!
If you don't already own seasons 1 to 4 of Digimon in season or volume sets, then this humungous collector's set is for veteran Digi-fans everywhere who still don't have season or volume sets of it. Maybe someday, New Video Group will have another deluxe set of the Data Squad and new Fusion sagas together! Only time will tell if I'm right. At any rate, all 205 unedited, more or less, American-print episodes of the first 4 seasons "DNA-digivolved" or "fusion evolved" into 1 unheard-of deluxe 32-disc DVD set never before available! From the tale of the first 8 pair of Digidestened and Digimon partners, to its be-awesome follow-up, to the story of the Tamers, to the Frontier gang's famous run, it's all in this "fantastico", unprecedented set, pluperfect (beyond perfect) for collectors at Christmastime or their birthdays, or both at once! But it'll be very high to get this set, just to warn everyone. But unfortunately, the theatrical & TV movies for each season won't be in this one...
Interesting collection, but I have to wonder...
Really like the series, which I have to give 5 stars all the way. I purchased the first 3 sets for comparable prices to the average price per season for this set, waiting to see if the 4th season comes down in price a little more.

I was hoping that they were going to come out with a complete season for Digimon Data Squad as well. Given that this is a collection of the first 4 seasons and they didn't wait for season 5, I am a little worried that it is never coming.
Got to buy digimon!!
I've LOVE Digimon since I was a young girl when it first came out years ago, with Tai, TK, Kari, and all the others and always try to catch any sequels they make when they come out. I'm glad that they are FINALLY bringing all the series onto DVD after over a decade. *lol* now if they would do it for series like the original Battle B-daman, Flint the Time Detective and a whole lot of other anime I would love to see again.

But I have a question. What about the Digimon movies and specials? At least the ones that have already been translated and dubbed into English that were aired on TV when Disney channel was still airing the Digimon series?

Totally Spies Season Two, Volume Two

Fame and Fashion: The Girls Wrap Up Season Two With The Second Installment Of 13 Episodes
Debuting in 2001, "Totally Spies!" is a female-centric cartoon series that has carried on for over a decade now. With earlier seasons having aired on both ABC Family and the Cartoon Network and a sixth season finalized in 2012, the series has amassed a huge fan base around the world and launched a video game empire that includes a very popular online role playing game. Until now, though, its DVD presence has been somewhat spotty. They have only released a few 4 episodes DVDs leaving everyone wondering where the rest of the episodes were! Now it seems that fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Season One and Season Two are now on target to get full releases.

Season One released in a two volume set on 8/13/13 and Season Two gets a two volume release on 10/8/13. Instead of labeling the DVDs by Seasons or Parts, however, they instead used a tagline that tells you nothing about what is inside the set that you are considering purchasing. I don't often comment on marketing or...

Totally Spies Collection Seasons 1-3 DVD SET

Spies! X's3
Totally Spies Fans can now collect the first three seasons of this awesome series in one big set. As a fan I will be getting this set for myself and buy the volumes for my brothers and cousins who also love the show and can't afford them. GO SPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three Complete Seasons: If You Bought The DVD Releases That Dropped Earlier This Year, You Already Own Season One
This year, however, the show has emerged on the DVD market in a rather confusing configuration.

First in August, Season One was released in two separate parts called "Top Secret Missions" and "Wild Style." Now in October, Season Two is being released in two parts called "Secret Agents" and "Fame & Fashion." And on the same day that these editions hit the market, this Three Season Collection also becomes available. While this doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the show, it is frustrating if you leapt to buy the releases in August...
